- The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is conducting market research to support Bioproducts Research Center for one Automatic Physisorption Analyzer. This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The government is seeking capability statements from businesses capable of meeting the below minimum specification requirements: The requirements of the Automatic Physisorption Analyzer system are as follows: Features of Analytical System: - Merge CO2 and N2 isotherms into one micropore/mesopore isotherm for full characterization of activated carbons without the need for operator calculation. - Analysis of up to 3 samples at once. - 5-point BET analyses, single-point and multi-point BET surface area. - Calibration according to NIST standards. - Surface area measurement to 0.01 m2/g using Nitrogen. - Flexible free space and saturation pressure modes. - Six degas ports. - Isothermal Jackets to maintain cryogen level overnight. - Separate preparation station to outgas 6 samples by gas flow. - Microsoft Windows� 10 compatible, 64-bit platform - On-screen report editing and simple export to other formats (Excel). - Adsorption - Desorption isotherms. - Langmuir surface area - BJH Mesopore volume & area. - Micropore volume & area - Total pore volume. - deBoer t-Plot & others - MP-method. - Reference isotherms - Alpha-s Plot. - f-Ratio plot - Heat of adsorption. - Freundlich & Temkin - Density Functional Theory - Dubinin-Radushkevich - Dubinin-Astakhov. - Python scripting language for custom reports. - Training tutorial built into software. Installation and Familiarity Training (1) day Required delivery date May 15, 2020. Respondents shall furnish sufficient technical information necessary for the Government to conclusively determine that they are capable of meeting the technical requirements identified above.
