Description
Annual Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) and Repair Minneapolis VA Health Care System Introduction: The Contractor shall complete the annual inspection of approximately one-hundred (100) Reduced Pressure Zone Device (RPZ) located in various locations throughout building 70 of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) facility. Objectives: Test all RPZ throughout the facility to ensure they are all functioning properly. Repair and retest any devices that fail in timely fashion. Statement of Work: Test the approximately 100 RPZ s throughout the facilities and grounds of the Minneapolis VA Campus. Two (2) of these RPZ s are in a pit and would require two (2) technicians for testing. The technicians must be OSHA 30 certified and have had training in confined space work environment. RPZ s that fail will need to be repaired and retested by qualified personnel. Contractor may sub-contract these repairs if needed. Name of sub-contractor and copies of current licenses and certifications must be submitted with their proposal. Technicians must possess certification to ASSE Standard 5110 Testing of reduced pressure principal devices. Document with locations of RPZ s will be available to assist with the locations of these devices throughout the facility. A representative from the pipe shop will be available escort the technicians throughout the campus. All records of the testing will be forwarded to the Facilities Engineering Department and the Plumbing/Steam Shop Supervisor (Duwayne Bland). Backflow Preventer (RPZ) Test Report will be sent to the City of Minneapolis, Regulatory Services, Minneapolis Development Review Contractor shall submit an estimated schedule within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. The schedule shall show all dates, describe testing, and indicate time durations required.
