Narrative Description: The project consists of designing and constructing /rehabilitating the existing approximately 5 mile bituminous paved auto tour route. Portions of the existing route has been inundated by flooding a greater percentage of the year than it ever has been in past years. One of the primary goals of this project is to substantially increase the amount of time the auto tour route can be enjoyed by the public. Hopefully this can be accomplished by either modifying sections of the existing route by raising it, providing drainage under it, or rerouting sections of it to a higher area of the site. The route consists of five different roadway sections and comprises of parking lots and asphalt trails that also require maintenance/renovation work. In addition to addressing the flooding issues various sections of the route also require milling and overlay; chip and seal; other asphalt treatments; shoulder work and Restriping. The auto route was either completely reconstructed or other portions constructed for the first time in 2009. The Project is located at Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge, Odessa Minnesota The Government requests interested parties submit a brief statement of current capability to perform these services and a letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources should provide the following information: (1) company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type of business and size [ie.; Large, Small, SBA Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Women Owned, and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO)]; (2) a list of your most recent and relevant Government and/or commercial contracts (not to exceed ten) to include a brief description, names, POCs, phone numbers, value & type of contract, and period of performance; and (3) information about your company and why you think you can perform this service.
