- This is a Sources Sought Notice. (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although ""proposal,"" ""offeror,"" contractor, and ""offeror"" may be used in this sources sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as ""proprietary"" or ""confidential,"" intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law. (d) This Sources Sought is issued by VISN 2 Contracting Office in Bath, NY for the purpose of collecting information about Hill-Rom bed maintenance for the Bath VA Medical Center. The VA is seeking to provide for this requirement within 60 days of the award of the contract. The NAICS code identified for this requirement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The requirement is detailed in the Statement of Work section of this document. (e) Cursory market research has identified small businesses that may be able to provide for this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Bath VA Medical Center. Please note�at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance shall be spent for employees of the concern for a proposal to be considered for a small business set-aside. Contractors that are able to meet the requirements in the attachment are encouraged to email a capability statement and full information to Janine Childs at Janine.Childs@va.gov. Phone calls will not be accepted. - Part of the purpose of this sources sought is to determine the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category. Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the services being offered as well as their size status under said NAICS. This information will be used to determine the viability of a set aside for this requirement. - Contractors shall also identify any Federal Supply Schedules that may carry the desired services. - Contractors shall identify pertinent point of contact for company, contractor DUNS number for size standard and socioeconomic verification in SAM and VIP. - Contractors shall include any relevant comments about the Attachment(s) if applicable. STATEMENT OF WORK HILL-ROM BED SERVICES BATH VA MEDICAL CENTER The Bath VA Medical Center located at 76 Veterans Avenue Bath, NY 14810 has a requirement for annual preventative maintenance, routine and emergency repairs on 109 Hill-Rom hospital beds. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians and use new OEM parts. The period of performance shall be from 5/15/2020 4/30/2021, with the provision of four option years. This service agreement shall include the following: A.2.1 General Repair/Service Requirements A.2.2 Preventative Maintenance A.2.3 Emergency Repair Equipment: Manufacturer Model Number Number of beds on site HILL-ROM CAREASSIST ES455 39 HILL-ROM TOTALCARE BARIATRIC PLUS P1840 1 HILL-ROM TOTALCARE BARIATRIC PLUS TCBPLUS-655 3 HILL-ROM TRIFLEX II BARIATIC 5 HILL-ROM VERSACARE VC755 37 HILL-ROM MRS PUMP CONTROL UNIT W/MATTRESS P500 24 General Repair/Service Requirements: All work performed will be accomplished using the guidelines outlined in the Versa-Care service manual. The Contractor shall comply with all local codes and other applicable codes/requirements. Replacement mattresses will be provided by the Buffalo VAMC. All repair and preventative maintenance parts and materials shall be OEM and supplied by the vendor. All repair work must be performed by factory authorized service technicians. All travel, labor, and parts shall be included in the contract. Preventative Maintenance: All work performed will be accomplished using the OEM guidelines outlined in the Versa-Care service manual. The Contractor shall comply with all local codes and other applicable codes/requirements. Replacement mattresses shall be provided by the vendor. Repairs that are found while performing preventative maintenance shall have OEM parts and materials supplied by the vendor. Annual preventative maintenance shall be done as per OEM service recommendations by complying with applicable codes and safety regulations. Emergency Repairs: 48-hour call response for emergency repairs is required. VA will provide a separate procurement for all emergency requests. Second shift and weekend work may be required for emergency repairs only.
