Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors for Regulated Medical Waste Disposal Services for the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. The proposed NAICS 562112 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $41.5 Million. Objective: This is a non-personal services procurement to provide Regulated Medical Waste Disposal Services for the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. The vendor shall furnish all labor, equipment, containers appropriately labeled (except for Government-furnished ""Sharps"" needle containers), supplies, materials, transportation and supervision required to provide pick-up, transport, incineration and/or acceptable disposition of biohazard medical waste, and Government ""Sharps"" containers, from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (henceforth referred to as ""VA"") medical facilities. See the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) for additional details. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). However, if responses from qualified firms prove inadequate, an alternate set-aside, tiered evaluation, or full and open competition may be considered.
