Description
This amendmentincorporates into thissolicitation the following questions from prospective contractors, along with answers from the government: Question 1. Section VII Tasks mentions Grounds Maintenance Brushing; and Dam Maintenance - Mowing & Brushing. Could the government give an explanation of what brushing entails at each section. Answer:There are saplings and small brush that will need to be cut down and removed. Question 2. Section VII Tree Maintenance - Pruning & Limbing states: The Contractor shall be responsible for tree maintenance operations as indicated in schedule. There is no mention of tree maintenance in the schedule. Could the government provide a better explanation of what will be required. Answer:Some trees will need to be pruned/limbed over time. This would be for any limbs inhibiting roads, pathways, campsites etc. This will only consist of pruning/limbing and would not consist of any work requiring an arborist. The predominant cutting tools needed would be a pole saw and/or chainsaw. There is no schedule as it would only be on an as needed basis. Question 3. If tree maintenance is required, are disposal containers available on site? Answer:There are no disposal containers on site, but the debris could be moved and stacked inside the tree line so that is not highly visible. This area would be outside of the maintained campsites but the distance to the tree line is less than 150 feet from almost all places within the campground. This is a Request for Quotes which will result in a firm-fixed price, contract for a basic period of performance from date of award, through May 15, 2021, plus two, one-year option periods. Submission of an offer for the basic contract period constitutes an offer to perform in the Option Period(s), if exercised. Only one award will be made. This project is set-aside 100% for small business. Award will be made based on the lowest price to the government and can be made on initial offers. Contractor to furnish all material, labor, tools, equipment, signs, supplies, transportation, supervision, incidentals, and OSHA safety measures necessary to perform ground maintenance services at the Boles Field Recreation Area and Red Hills Lake Recreation Area located on the Sabine National Forest, Texas in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation and any resultant contract.
