- Sources Sought Notice DX-2020-002 � Item Name: Azimuth Drive NSN: 1015-01-614-6512 Part No: 12522211 Minimum Quantity: 64 each Maximum Quantity:� 300 each End Item: M1A2 Abrams Tank Point of Contact: Grover D. Easterling, Jr. (grover.easterling@dla.mil) � This is a Sources Sought Notice only.� This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. DLA Land Warren is seeking to identify possible sources that can supply:� Azimuth Drive; NSN 1015-01-614-6512; Government Part Number 12522211.� The Stabilized Commander's Weapon Station Azimuth Drive Assembly (AZDA) rotates the cupola of the Stabilized Commander Weapon Station (SCWS) in either powered or manual mode. �The SCWS is located on the top of the turret of a M1 Abrams tank. The Government does not own all proprietary rights to the technical data package (TDP).� The TDP contains at least one Source Controlled drawing.� Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due no later than 11:59 PM eastern standard time, May 8, 2020.� Submissions should be emailed to: grover.easterling@dla.mil. However, in order to become an approved source, potential sources will have to participate in the Source Approval Program through the TACOM Competition Management Office (https://tacom.army.mil/cmo). Potential sources should note: -Qualification testing and evaluation IS REQUIRED to become an approved source. -Source approval DOES NOT guarantee business. -Qualifying as an approved source only provides the opportunity to compete on future solicitations.
