- ����������������������������Kanopolis - Slide Repair, Debris Removal, and Riprap placement �������������������������������������������������������� ��W912DQ-20-SS-0512 This is a Sources Sought Synopsis only. This notice is not a solicitation and there will not be a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued at this time. This notice is a market research tool to determine the availability of qualified sources. The Kansas City, District Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified Small Business (SB) that primarily perform work under the NAICS classification 237990-�Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction�. The applicable size standard is $36.5M. Work will be in the county of Ellsworth, KS. The period of performance will be approximately 365 Calendar days to complete requirement with a magnitude between $500,000 and $1,000,000. �Description of Construction Requirement: Kanopolis Dam is a USACE project located in Ellsworth County, Kansas, on the Smoky Hill River. �The work involves the repairing of a slide on the slope of the downstream embankment near the stilling basin, the removal of debris on the upstream of the dam and the placement of riprap on the upstream side of the dam.� �Responses: This sources sought notice will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website commonly known as https://beta.sam.gov/ . No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation at this time. �Project Location (Geographical Area) The slide repair is located on the downstream side of the stilling basin.�The rip-rap and debris removal is on the upstream side of the dam. Offeror's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Firm's DUNS number and Cage Code number. 3. Offeror�s interest in providing a proposal if a solicitation is issued. 4. Offeror's capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity. 5. Offeror's type of business and business size. 6. Offeror's Joint Venture information, existing and potential, if applicable. 7. Offeror's Bonding Capability: Bonding Surety Letter. Offer must provide a letter or other documentation from a surety appearing on the Department of Treasury Circular 570 (list of approved sureties) stating that the Offeror is able to provide a bid bond and obtain Performance and Payment Bonds for a minimum of $5 million. 8. Contractor may submit examples of work done by a subcontractor, if that subcontractor intends to enter into a letter of commitment with the contractor. 9. Do you have experience placing sand drains on a steep slope? How much of the effort did you complete as the prime or sub-contractor? 10. What is your experience removing slide material and recognizing a developed slide plane?������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� �������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Please provide at least 3 projects you completed in the last 3-5 years. 11. Have you ever completed a heavy Civil Works project for USACE or another federal entity, if so provide project name, location, and P.O.C's information for reference also provide at least 3 projects you completed in the last 3-5 years. 12. Does your company have experience placing filter fabric? Please provide at least 3 projects you completed in the last 3-5 years. 13. Please submit your responses by 1:00 P.M CST, on 2 June 2020, to Mr. Hodges at Willie.E.Hodges@usace.army.mil . Limit your response to 20 pages also reference above sources sought project title and number in the subject block of your email. Summary: This Sources Sought Notice is to assist the U.S Army Corps of Engineers with market research. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced/posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website with sufficient time for all interested parties to respond accordingly. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. However, the information will be utilized for technical and acquisition planning. If adequate responses are not received from small business, the acquisition may be solicited as unrestricted. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, or results will be provided to the participants.
