- The following action is to be competed by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), located at Fort Detrick, MD, in support of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA), located at Fort Detrick, MD, for Anterior Vitrectomy Systems. This announcement constitutes the solicitation by USAMRAA, Fort Detrick, MD as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and offers must be submitted in writing (oral offers will not be accepted). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-05 effective 30 March 2020. DESCRIPTION: This action is to be competed to fulfill the need of USAMMDA. USAMMDA has a requirement to modernize the Anterior Vitrectomy System equipment used in field environments in far forward locations around the world.� The end item must be small, lightweight, portable, durable, reliable, easily maintainable, and capable of transport and operation in forward areas / field hospital settings.� See the attached documents for the full dates of delivery and delivery addresses. This acquisition is being competed using full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 ��Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing�with a Size Standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is solicited on an unrestricted basis and is NOT set aside for small businesses. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments from the beta.sam.gov website. All contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. Contract award shall be made on a competitive basis using Tradeoff procedures. The attached document referenced above (""Combined Synopsis Solicitation"") includes all clauses and provisions incorporated into this Request for Quotation as well as the Instructions for the Preparation and Submission of Proposals, Instructions to Offerors and Evaluation Factors.
