Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Johnson Controls, Inc., dba: 395 N Green Meadows Dr. Wilmington, NC 28405-3749, (Cage Code: 7F518) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to procure Metasys software, licenses, upgrades, technical support, and hardware maintenance in the Facilities Management System (FMS) for a base period of twelve (12) months with provisions for two (2) twelve-month options.� Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items.� Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Johnson Controls, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the service.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within two (2) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
