- Description
- I.� Purpose.� The purpose of this Special Notice is to (1) announce Industry Day for this requirement on Thursday, 21 May 2020 via teleconference and (2) publicize the draft Request for Proposal (RFP) and Performance Work Statement (PWS).� II.� Background.� The US Space Force (USSF), Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) intends to acquire performance-based professional services to support the development and implementation of the new Field Command under the USSF.� Tasks include (but are not limited to) defining the Field Command structure, processes, governance and decision making, culture, talent and workforce management, and integration (refer to the draft PWS). III.� Telecon Info.� Contact Capt�Deborah Kim�(deborah.kim.1@us.af.mil) no later than 4:30 pm PST on 19 May 2020 for the teleconference information.� IV.� Questions. �Submit questions to Capt Alejandro Sena (Alejandro.sena.2@us.af.mil) and Mr. Noble Smith (noble.smith@us.af.mil) no later than 4:30 pm PST on 26 May 2020 using the attached Comment Resolution Matrix (CRM).� The Government intends to post responses to industry�s questions on this announcement. V.� Disclaimer. This Special Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation (Request for Proposal) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This Special Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the Government is not, at this time, seeking proposals. Responders are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Special Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Special Notice will be solely at the responding party�s expense. All information received in response to this Request for Information that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The Air Force will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative as a result of this Special Notice. Not responding to this Request for Information does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. Note: Telework may be required for some or all performance due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the Contractor should be prepared to perform at the physical location listed.
