Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole �source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals.� The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as prescribed by FAR 13.106-1(b). Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Benning, GA intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price award to Grounds Maintenance, Inc, to provide grounds maintenance services on Fort Benning, GA due to the COVID-19 restrictions.� The COVID-19 restrictions limits the ability of new contractors to get the authorization and clearance to work on Fort Benning, GA.� The follow-on contract for this requirement will be competively awarded. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561730- Grounds Maintenance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within thirty (30) days of the issuis to issue a sole source, firm fixed price award to Grounds Maintenance, es must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government to garner further consideration by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Written responses to this Notice of Intent to Sole Source shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement.� MICC Fort Benning will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.
