Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to Raytheon Technologies Corporation , 1849 W Main Rd, Portsmouth, RI, 02871-1087, for the continued maintenance and support of submarine Legacy Weapons Launchers Systems (LWLS) for all in-service submarines and appropriate Joint Program Office (JPO) platforms: VIRGINIA Class Weapons Launch Console Integrated Enclosure (WLCIE), COLLINS Class Weapons Data Converter, and SSN 688/688I and SEAWOLF Class Legacy Weapons Launchers, including Weapons Launch Console, and Universal Weapons Launcher. Raytheon is the original designer, developer, and producer of the LWLS. Raytheon is the only known responsible source with the in-depth technical data and knowledge of the LWLS system design, hardware, support equipment, technical experience, �facilities, intellectual property, and resources necessary to meet the Government�s requirement. �The contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all capability statements received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this notice. Respondents are wholly responsible for any costs or expenses associated with submitting a response.
