Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 10.002(b)(2)(i) this notice is issued for the purpose of market research. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are potential SMALL BUSINESSES with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). THE�RFP RESULTING FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE WILL BE ISSUED SEPARATELY AND ADVERTISED ON THE Federal Business Opportunities Website (https://www.beta.sam.gov.gov). The information received will be used to determine whether to issue the proposed solicitation as a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (unrestricted). The extent of the work will be described in the solicitation which will follow at a later date. Place of Performance Grafton Job Corps Center 100 Pine Street �North Grafton, Massachusetts 01536 The work involves design and construction services for a new 40,700 square foot asphalt parking lot for approximately 60 parking spots, with access from the Center and public street with new light poles located along the lot entry/exit roadway and within the parking lot. �The parking lot will be located in the flat open field north of Welcome Center Building 14. �The parking lot shall be designed to maintain the two large trees, if practicable, and will be designed to allow for larger (up to 18 wheelers) trucks to access the site through the new parking area. �Two new electronic lift arm gates, one at the existing entrance and one at the roadway where the large trucks enter the Center, will be installed as part of the project. �Eight (8) foot high vinyl coated chain link fence will be installed along the site perimeter where the new parking lot will be constructed. �The project also includes repair of the concrete rails along the existing ravine road (bridge) to help protect vehicular traffic on the bridge. WHO MAY RESPOND: Interest in this Sources Sought announcement is open to certified small business contractors, relative to the primary NAICS code 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 Million dollars. Following review of the responses to this notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with an acquisition, the Government will develop an acquisition strategy to determine whether the solicitation for this project will be issued as a set aside or as unrestricted competition. General contractors will be required to obtain and/or have the capabilities to provide bonding capacities that can accommodate a project with a magnitude between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. As specified within FAR 4.1102, all interested small business� firms shall be registered via the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. Firms interested in submitting their capabilities for this project, you must include the following information in the cover letter /introduction: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination, and qualifying small business status/certification of Small Business (3) Bonding capacity (from surety). If submitting as a Joint Venture (JV), all JV s must have an agreement, JV entity DUNS, and CVE certification.
