- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial acquisition & services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. Solicitation Number 140L3020Q0008 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) with an open date of May 26, 2020. A closure date of June 9, 2020. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Synopsis: FAC 2020-01 . This is a simplified acquisition per FAR 13.106-1 Soliciting Competition, under NAICS 562112 in accordance with authority granted under 41 U.S.C. 2539(c). The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Las Cruces District Office, has a requirement in soliciting quotations on a competitive basis from qualified contractors to enter into a firm fixed price contract for � Sun-Shade Shelter(s), prefabricated, delivered to BLM, Las Cruces, NM� The Las Cruces District Office (LCDO) of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking contractor(s) in support of A. Size and Dimensions: 1. Quantity and Shape: four (4) - Square 2. Dimensions: Min. 10� X 10� 3. Roof Style: Four Sided Hip Roof � Multi Rib Design 4. Roof Pitch: 4:12 5. Eave Height: Minimum 7�-2� on low end B. Structural Framing: Fabricated for field assembly using bolted connections with no welding required or permitted; cold-formed shapes prohibited. 1. Columns and Beams: ASTM A500 Grade B structural steel tube. I-beams, wide-flange beams, C-channels, and Z-shapes are prohibited. 2. Plates: ASTM A36. 3. Compression Rings: Steel plate, ASTM A36. 4. Fasteners: a. Bolts: ASTM A325 high strength bolts. b. Nuts: ASTM A563 high strength nuts. 5. Column Anchors: ASTM A307, provided by the Contractor, attached to top of foundation, recessed below grade. 6. Cap Plates: Factory bent and field installed with hidden fasteners on hip and ridge beams not normal to roof so that metal roof deck does not bear structurally on beam corner only. 7. Finish: Powder Coat: a. Shot or sand blast to near white condition in accordance with SSPC-SP10, removing all oil residue, mil scale, weld spatter, and slag. b. Three stage phosphate wash. c. Sealed rust protectant. d. Epoxy power coat gray primer. e. Double topcoat TCIG polyester powder coat; color to be selected from manufacturer�s standard color chart by Contracting Officer. f. Primer plus finish coats shall be 3-5 mils thick. g. All materials inspected to meet 100% coating, proper cure, film thickness, and impact resistance. h. Wet-coat alternatives shall not be acceptable. C. Roof System: Galvalume structural metal roof panels with exposed fasteners. 1. Acceptable Panel Profiles: a. Multi-Rib: 1-3/16� high ribs, 12� on center. b. Mega-Rib: 1-1/2� high ribs, 7.2� on center. 2. Panel Gauge: Minimum 24 gauge. 3. Panel Width: 3�-0�. 4. Panel Length: Precut to the length from the eave to the ridge; angles factory precut. 5. Panel Orientation: Ribs shall run with the pitch of the roof for proper drainage. 6. Trim: Provide matching roof trim and fasteners. 7. Finish: Factory pre-finished with Kynar 500 paint system; color to be selected by Contracting Officer from manufacturer�s standard color chart. 2.2 FABRICATION A. All columns, trusses, beams, compression rings and tension members shall be factory-welded assemblies with provisions for bolted connections. All base plates, stiffener plates, U-clips, and end plates shall be factory welded into place and bolt connection holes shall be factory cut. B. Welded connections shall be made by certified welders in accordance with AWS Specifications and be supervised by an AWS certified welding inspector.
