- Description
- The Library of Congress [�Library�] seeks a museum design firm to design and develop a full suite of new case typicals and display�structures [�Casework and Display Systems�] for use in future Library exhibitions. Casework and display components designed under�this contract will be used for upcoming exhibitions and are not intended to travel outside the institution. All design work under this�contract must meet museum quality design standards, conservation, and security standards as set forth in this solicitation. The new case systems will be high performance, customizable, and allow for a wide scope of personalization, including multiple door�opening systems, concealed hinges and the ability to seal or limit air exchange. The final display system will be designed in such a�way as to be used in any Library gallery environment. The design process will explore a contemporary design aesthetic and will adhere�to museum industry and Library requirements for conservation and security.
