Description

ERDC Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Kone Inc, One Kone Court, Moline, IL, 61265-1374. The intent of this procurement is to award on a sole source basis under simplified acquisition procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1 (b). The US Anny Corps of Engineer (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Public Works (DPW) has a requirement for the furnish and installment of eight (8) overspeed/rupture valves on eight (8) separate hydraulic elevators at the ERDC campus in Vicksburg, MS. Kone Inc being the one source reasonably available considering the circumstances of the contract action. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis is solely within the discretion of the government. This notice is not a request for quote and no solicitation is available. No RFQ will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
