Description
The Government is conducting market research to determine an offerors ability to obtain U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570 (https://www.fiscal.treasury.gov/surety-bonds/circular-570.html) authorized companies willing to issue Performance and Payment bonds for vertical construction projects in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.� For purposes of this market research, a typical construction project is valued at US$20 Million. Request prospective offerors interested in participating in construction projects in the Kingdom of Jordan provide responses to the following questions: � 1. Type of firm (U.S. owned firm, Jordanian owned firm, other foreign (non-U.S.) firm (please list country). 2. Is the Circular 570 listed Surety willing to bond 100% value of the construction project in Jordan?� If answering �No�, please list reason provided. 3. Is the Circular 570 listed Surety willing to bond a reduced percentage of the value of the construction project in Jordan (Please respond �Yes� or �No�)?� If responding �Yes�, provide percentage (10%, 15%, 25%, 30%, etc)? 4. If the Circular 570 listed Surety is unable to provide bonding, are you able to provide other acceptable sureties for this project in accordance with FAR Clause 52.228-15? If so, please describe the sureties. 5. Provide a statement of firms bonding or surety consisting of the following information: Name of Surety, including contact information, type of security available (i.e. Payment, Performance Bonds, Letter of Credit, Bank Letter of Guarantee), Construction bonding level per contract, and aggregate construction bonding available. 6. Provide any additional relevant information that may be pertinent to this market research. Response Due: Place the words �Bonding ability in Kingdom of Jordan� on the subject line of your message. Your response is requested by 4:00pm EDT on 16 June 2020.� Submit email to Mr. Kenneth G. Baker at: Kenneth.G.Baker@usace.army.mil. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice.� The information provided in this notice is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. The Government will not provide debriefs on the results of this research, but feedback regarding the type of bonding that is required, or will be accepted, will be accomplished via a solicitation for future services, as applicable. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended.
