- This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, NCO 9 Network Contracting Office, on behalf of the Lexington VA Medical Center is conducting market research through this source sought notice to seek sources to identify potential experienced businesses that are capable of meeting the requirements per the Statement of Work (SOW) below Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 561992 and sized standard is $12.0M. NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. STATEMENT OF WORK BD Carefusion Software Management Services TVHS, Nashville Campus TVHS, Murfreesboro Campus INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK: Alaris System Software and Guardrails Suite is Proprietary Software; owned and maintained solely by BD Carefusion. The Software is used for Managing patient information and safety related medication dosing software for Alaris System intravenous medication administration. This software is regulated by FDA as a medical device. This software must meet VA HL7 Interface Standards, for data integrity and security. Services to be included in the Software Support Agreement are Telephone Support, updates for system functionality, remote diagnosis & repair, direct access to Technical Support, clinical education, interface mapping changes and preference settings changes. REQUIREMENTS: EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION: Software installed and running on Virtual Servers in the TVHS Nashville Campus IRM Data Center and installed and running on Alaris infusion devices. Server software to be maintained: Manufacturer: BD Carefusion Software: Alaris Systems Manager and Guardrails Suite MX SERVICES TO BE INCLUDED: Support of Software installed on Alaris infusion devices Telephone Support during business hours Updates to covered software that maintains system with current functionality, called Embedded Software Updates to covered software required for hardware operation, called Firmware Remote monitoring, Remote diagnosis and repair Clinical Education, webcasts and on-site training Guardrails Suite MX Software enhancements Server updates Data reports Access to Clinical Infusion Data Consultants and Pharmacy Consultants SERVICES EXCLUDED: New versions of Covered Software that provide additional functionality. Use of 3rd party software and/or non-FDA regulated medical software Remediation of Viruses, worms, or other malware HOURS OF COVERAGE Telephone Support, including access to Technical Support and Remote Remedial Support, will be available VA normal business hours. Telephone support includes access to technical support group for technical information, clinical support, remote diagnosis of problems, repair of software, update of software and replacing corrupted software. VA normal business hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays. Federal Holidays observed by the VAMC are: New Years' Day Labor Day Martin Luther King Day Columbus Day Presidents' Day Veterans' Day Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day Independence Day Christmas Day REPORTING REQUIRED SERVICES BEYOND THE CONTRACT SCOPE: The Contractor shall immediately, but no later than 48 (forty-eight) consecutive hours after discovery, notify the CO and COR (in writing) of the existence or the development of any defects in, or repairs required, to the scheduled equipment that the Contractor considers he/she is not responsible for under the terms of the contract. The Contractor shall furnish the CO and COR with a written estimate of the cost to make necessary repairs.
