This is an open market solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitations will be issued. This is a request for quotes under solicitation number: 36C26220Q0910 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking unrestricted via FSS contract holders on Contract Opportunities that can provide BRAND NAME or EQUAL Bioness External Functional Electrical Stimulation System Supplies that meet the following salient characteristics for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System: Notice: No remanufactures or gray market items/ supplies will not be acceptable. The system's gait sensing technology needs to automatically detect the foot position, walking speed, and changes in terrain to provide stimulation precisely when needed. This will be used for both inpatient and outpatient SCI patients who have motor or sensory deficits. SCI physical therapists will use this system for patient assessment and development of a neurorehabilitation treatment plan. This will determine if a patient is appropriate for the device for a prosthetic prescription for home use. UNIQUE SALIENT CHARACTERISTIC REQUIREMENTS Offers shall include ALL the following in order to be considered. Gait sensing technology to automatically detect foot position, walking speed, and changes in terrain. Multi-channel that enables clinicians to adjust dorsiflexion and inversion/eversion. Tablet with software must be included with a user-friendly interface to improve the therapist s efficiency and maximize their productivity. No other computer solutions will be acceptable. Sensor in the cuff instead of in the patient s shoe to allow them to go barefoot. A mobile iOS application designed to empower home users to set goals and tracking recovery progress. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The solicitation will be in accordance with FAR Part 12, 13, and 19, Acquisition of Commercial Items, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Small Business Programs, and Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulations as supplemented with additional information in this notice. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112. The Contractor shall adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations in effect during the term of this contract. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract.
