- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS NETWORK CONTRACTING OFFICE (NCO) 16 MICHAEL E. DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER (VAMC), HOUSTON, TEXAS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25620Q0700 BACKGROUND: The Houston VAMC has a requirement for the following brand name supplies: COMMERCIAL STACKING PROGRAMMABLE COMBINATION OVENS REQUIREMENTS: The MEDVAMC is conducting market research to determine the availability of sources for the possible purchase of commercial combination and programmable ovens (2) to be utilized by Nutrition and Food Services within the main NFS kitchen. This equipment is used for large quantity food production. The possible purchase would include installation and removal (to include removal off premises) of existing two stacked convection ovens. The ovens shall be programmable, self-cleaning, with capability to constantly measure the humidity inside the cooking cabinet and make automatic adjustments based on programmed settings, eliminating the need for basting or adding liquid. Units shall each accommodate up to 6 half-size sheet pans or (6) 12"" x 20"" steam table pans, and stainless interior and exterior. Overall Dimensions: Width: 33 1/4"" x Depth: 30 3/8"" x Height: 30 3/4"" Voltage: 208/240 Capacity: 6 Half Size Sheet Pans, 6 Full Size Food Pans Door Type: Glass Natural Gas Inlet Size: 3/4 Inches NSF Compliant Controls and/or maintenance access panel shall be on the right side of the unit, or adequate space for access and future repairs of the unit should be left between new units and existing stacked combination ovens. Project Scope: LINE ITEM QUANITY UNIT OF ISSUE PRICE Rational CombiMaster Plus Natural Gas Combi Oven with ClimaPlus Technology - 208/240V. (6) 12"" x 20"" full size hotel or (6) 13"" x 18"" half size sheet pan capacity, mode selector control, 100 cooking programs, automatic cleaning, LED display or equivalent. 2 EA Supply Specifications Requirements: Installation to include removal and haul away of existing units REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post in the near future.
