- AMENDMENT TO SOURCES SOUGHT:� The purpose of this amendment is to add the background information for this project: BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Rio Grande National Forest Supervisor�s Office is currently located one mile west of Monte Vista, Colorado.� This building is a leased facility.� In 2017, building designs were started to replace the leased facility with an owned facility on Forest Service land.� At this same time the Del Norte School District approached the Forest Service with an offer to donate the current Del Norte High School to the Forest Service once the new high school building is completed.� The high school building is approximately 35,000 square feet. �The Forest Service needs 14,400 square foot.� Approximately 21,000 square feet will be demolished and the remaining building will be remodeled.� �� The Forest Service began preparing design documents in 2018 to demolish a portion of the building and convert the remaining portion into an office building.� As part of the design process, a hazardous material survey was conducted.� This survey identified asbestos containing material (ACM), lead based paint, and other regulated building materials.� Hazardous materials will be removed prior to starting the demolition and remodel of the building for the new office.� DISCLAIMER: This Sources Sought is being issued as a Request for Information (RFI) and is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute as a solicitation.� All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly.� In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.� Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION: This is NOT a solicitation announcement.� This is a sources sought synopsis only.� The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification, Hubzone, 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business, or service disabled veteran owned small business relative to NAICS 956910, size standard of $20.5M.� Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.� After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published.� Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate response to the solicitation announcement.� The USDA Forest Service, Region Two, Regional Office is seeking sources that have the capability to perform the hazardous material abatement services.� Work for this project requires the contractor to be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, miscellaneous items, freight and delivery and all necessary valid licenses and permits to complete the work.� Work for this project consists of hazardous material removal from the Del Norte High School building constructed in 1968. After hazardous material removal has been completed, the building will be partially demolished and the remainder of the building will be remodeled for use as an office building.� The demolition and remodel work is not part of this contract.� If you are interested, and are capable of providing the services for this requirement, please provide the requested information as well as the information below.� Responses to this notice should include the company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: Is your business small; If small, does your company qualify as a Small, Emerging Business, or Small Disadvantaged business; If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your company is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act; Is your company a certified Hubzone business; Is your company a Woman-Owned business; Is your company a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business; If your company has a FSS GSA contract, please provide the contract number; and Capabilities in regards to the requirement sought to include capability level, subcontractor functions, past performance, experience, management skill, and financial capability. Responses to this email shall be submitted via email to Christina A.
