- SOURCES SOUGHT:� THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BUT FOR INFORMATION AND MARKET RESEARCH PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY!� It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Project number for this requirement is KSCC 16-1601 and shall be used to reference any written responses to this source sought. 45 Contracting Squadron anticipates awarding a contract to provide Repair of Lightning Protection System at TEL-IV, located on Kennedy Space Center,� Brevard County, Florida. The anticipated contract is for work to provide all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to install an air terminal based lightning protection system on a compound comprised of three facilities, three radars, a chiller plant and various light poles, as well as the demolition and removal of three catenary 200 foot guyed towers located in environmentally sensitive locations. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 238290; Other Building Equipment Contractors. The size standard for NAICS code 238290 is $16.5M.� It is anticipated that any resultant award will be for a firm fixed price contract.� This Sources Sought notice is encouraging responses from all qualified and capable Small Businesses.� The Government requests that interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), small business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Woman Owned Small Business) any anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers.� Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime contractor and the work accomplished by the teaming partners.� The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation currently exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion.� This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract.
