The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the purchase of twelve (12) months of Gold Help Desk support, and one Tactical Chat Server v 1.2. with: Trident Systems Incorporated 10201 Fairfax Blvd, Suite 300 Fairfax, VA 22030 Specifications details are: TacChat is currently being used by the US Air Force as a chat solution. Trident is the developer and sole purchase outlet of TacChat, which is a chat capability. Going with another system would require hundreds of thousands of dollars of effort to incorporate an alternative product into an existing environment characterized by Trident. Trident Systems is the only source able to meet requirements without the US Air Force experiencing substantial duplication of cost and effort that could not be expected to be recovered through competition or incorporation of an alternative product. This is a notice of proposed contract action and not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates an award date on or before 31 AUG 2020. A Sole Source Justification will be attached to the subsequent Notice of Award in accordance with applicable regulation.
