- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency, Aviation Wing, Robins AFB, GA, will acquire Voltage-Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) spares applicable to the APY-1/2 radar for the E-3 aircraft. The VCXO Oscillator is part of the APY-1/2 radar for the E-3 AWACS aircraft. This surveillance aircraft uses sophisticated, high-performance, airborne radar for detecting location, altitude, course, and speed of a large number of targets. In conjunction with other mission systems, the radar provides the mission capability to detect, track, control, and report targets. This is a sole source requirement under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, under which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Wenzel Associates (CAGE 62821). Drawings are not available from the procuring activity. NSN:� 5995-01-624-4328CW� P/N: 563R069H01 Alternate P/N: 500-21199 NOUN: VCXO Oscillator SPRWA1-20-R-0025 is a request for proposal for a firm-fixed price requirements contract consisting of the following projected quantities: Basic Ordering Period:��� BEQ 3 Ordering Period 1:���������� BEQ 3 Ordering Period 2:���������� BEQ 3 Ordering Period 3:���������� BEQ 3 Ordering Period 4:���������� BEQ 3 The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) (CAGE 97942), which maintains its configuration by part number 563R069H01. NGSC has selected Wenzel Associates as their selected source for the manufacture of this item, Wenzel part number 500-21199. Wenzel is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the Oscillator design, performance requirements, and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility with the APY-1/2 radar system. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
