Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. �The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Division, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract with Hurco Machine and their distributor/dealer. �The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing).� This acquisition will be 100% small business set aside.� The contract requirement is a follows. Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe one (1) each, new slant bed-type turning center with Hurco WINMAX control.� �Designed conversationally controlled turning center with ancillary support to include options, initial installation & training.� The machine shall be able to be programed by use of conversational or NC/G code programming for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. All vendors must be capable of meeting all technical specifications, and capabilities. As part of its market research, NNSY is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing the requirement exists. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. No Request For Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which the NNSY can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFQ.� The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought.
