Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Abco Safety. to procure Toxic Gas Field Kits Single Monitors. This acquisition cannot be substituted because Abco Safety is the only company that custom built these gas kits for NIOSH at CDC. �These Kits must be have the following certifications: IP 66/68 ingress certification; Class 1, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D, and T4 certification; Class 1, Zone 0, AEx/Ex 1a T4 Ga rating; FCC compliance (ID SU3BWS1). The kits must be offered in user defined wireless/ non-wireless configuration. The non-wireless option will not meet NIOSH/HETAB�s requirements. The kits must also have the following features: Visual, vibrating, and audible (95 dB) alarms. Unit self-testing features including: Sensor integrity, circuitry, battery, audio/visual alarms on activation, and battery status (continuous) upon unit activation. Selectable user options including: reset of TWA, STEL, and peak readings; user defined high, low, TWA, and STEL alarm set points; latching alarms, and non-compliance indicators. The Gas Field kits must weigh between 3.6 to 4.1 ounces and must have an aggressive clip so that they may be attached to workers or area sampling tripods. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(SAP) and 41 U.S.C 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
