Scope of Work and Specifications Owned Housing Carpet & Vinyl Flooring Replacement USCG DDE-Petersburg Housing 1112 Valkyrie Petersburg, AK 99833 6/12/2020 PART 1: GENERAL 1.01 INTENT: Removal and disposal of existing carpet, padding and vinyl flooring and installation of new carpet, padding and vinyl flooring at 1010, 1100A & 1113B Valkyrie St. Petersburg AK 99833. 1.02 SCOPE: This contract covers a service agreement that meets or exceeds the requirements covered herein and detailed in section 1.06 below. 1. 1010: approx. 1080sqft carpet and padding including stairs. Approx. 580sqft vinyl flooring. To minimize disruption to occupants, all work must be completed by July 12th, 2020. 2. 1100A: approx. 580sqft vinyl flooring 3. 1113B: approx. 580sqft vinyl flooring 1.03 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED SERVICES: Electrical and Water connection. 1.04 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None. 1.05 CONTRACTOR FURNISHED: All labor, materials, and supervision required to accomplish the below requirements for removal of existing carpet and padding and installation of new carpet and padding floor covering; as well as replacement of transitions strips between non-carpeted rooms and new carpet. 1.06 REQUIREMENTS: A. Remove and dispose of existing carpet and padding at 1010 Valkyrie. (Approx. 1080sqft) B. Remove and dispose of existing Vinyl sheet at 1010, 1100A & 1113B Valkyrie. (Approx. 1680sqft total) C. Contractor shall remove any interferences including, but not limited to appliances, toilets, baseboards, heaters and wall trim. D. Install new vinyl flooring. Specifications are as follows and shall be comparable: Mannington Brand, landmark is the style, and Greystone is the color. (Encl. 2) E. Install new carpet and padding. (Approx. 1080sqft) Carpet Specifications are as follows and shall be comparable: Bryce Canyon Dyed Polyester. Face Weight 35.00oz/SqYd. Page 3 Color choice should be as comparable to TASflooring brand, Navajo - TABRYNAV, as possible. (Encl. 1) F. Contractor shall furnish all materials required to install, stretch, and seam carpet/vinyl as needed or required by manufacturer�s installation instruction. G. Any seams (if applicable) shall be concealed under doorway thresholds. All seams shall be installed as to be inconspicuous with regard to carpet roll size as viewed from the primary room access point. H. All disturbed items in section C shall be reinstalled and left in the same condition as prior to removal. All replacement trim shall be reinstalled and provided a similar finish. (Stained or painted) and sealed to provide a seamless appearance. Contractor shall consult with Contracting Officer�s technical representative should replacement materials be needed to approve proper style and finish. I. Final acceptance inspection will be made by the Contracting Officer�s Technical Representative and Contractor. Final payment is subject to FAR clause. � PART 2: INSPECTIONS AND ACCEPTANCE 2.01 Contracting Officer: The Contracting Officer has the overall responsibility for the administration of this contract. Contracting Officer is authorized to take actions on behalf of the Government to amend, modify or deviate from the contract terms, conditions, requirements, details or delivery schedules. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. � Instructions to offerors, evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached.
