- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a contract on a sole source basis to Rockwell Collins, 400 Collins Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498, for the procurement of Release Assembly, Antenna Mast Head, Rockwell Collins Part Number (P/N) 686-8816-001, used to lock and release HF antenna long-wires in support of the Norwegian P-3 Program.� This procurement is for a quantity of ten (10) units.� The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b).� The Government does not own current data drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition.� Rockwell Collins is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Release Assembly, Antenna Mast Head, P/N 686-8816-001 and owns all proprietary rights to the engineering data, and is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Release Assembly, Antenna Mast Head, P/N 686-8816-001 required for the P-3 aircraft.� No solicitation package is available for this procurement.� THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.� All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.� No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.� All inquiries and concerns must be addressed to the Contract Specialist, Cheryl Abele, at cheryl.a.abele@navy.mil.� A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future competition.
