- This is a Sources Sought notice. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources to provide liquid nitrogen tank/freezer units. Purpose and Objectives:� The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking companies capable of providing liquid nitrogen tank/freezer units. These freezers must meet the following specifications: Must be compatible with the Sample Guard monitoring system currently in use by the CDC Must have early liquid nitrogen (LN2) over-fill detection sensor Cryogenic storage capacity for a minimum of 39,000 1.2/2ml vials Number of large racks 100cell boxes: approximately 28 Number of shelves per rack: approximately 13 Wide Neck opening: approximately 39.40 inches Usable internal height: approximately 33.6 inches Inner Diameter: approximately 39.40 inches Liquid sample storage Vapor platform Freezer vapor sleeve Vacuum Jacketed Hose: approximately 3/8� 6� length Capability Statement/Information Sought: Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement, which shall include documentation of the ability to provide the products described above. The respondent must also provide their DUNS number, organization name, address, points of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc., pursuant to the applicable NAICS code), and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements. Please limit your responses to five (5) pages. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically. Facsimile responses will not be accepted. Please submit responses to Denedra Threatt, Contract Specialist, at DThreatt2@cdc.gov.
