Description
This synopsis is to announce that the Warner Robins Air Force Sustainment Center (WR-AFSC), Robins AFB, GA, intends to solicit Collins Elibit Vision Systems, LLC, 4700 Marine Creek Parkway, Fort Worth, TX, 76179-3505 (CAGE 6VSE4).� The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).� The contract is anticipated to be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type instrument with provisions for Firm Fixed Price repair Contract Line Items (CLINS).� A solicitation will be issued on or about 9 July 2020.� This requirement is for the sustainment of repairs related to JHMCS end item hardware.� The Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System is currently installed on over 908 USAF F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft.� In addition, there are over eleven (11) FMS countries flying JHMCS configured jets and more countries are considering the system for their defense needs.� The Period of Performance is from the date of award though three (3) years, consisting of a 12-month basic period and two additional 12-month ordering periods , plus an optional 6-month extension.�� This synopsis is NOT to be considered as a commitment by the Government or as a Request for Proposals.� Interested parties may identity their interest and capability by submitting a Statement of Capabilities to Mrs. Vanessa Posey�at vanessa.posey@us.af.mil.� A determination by the Government whether or not to complete the contract based upon assessment of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information recieved will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.� In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)ii, all responsible sources may submit a capabililty statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.� It is suggested that small business firms or other interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this described procurement should contact the firm listed. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors not sufficiently addressed by the Contracting Officer.� The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Contracting Officer, but communicated contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.� When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.� The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation or selection process, interested parties are invited to call the Warner Robins ALC Ombudsman, Mr. Timothy Inman, WR-ALC/PKC, at (478)222-4097.� DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION/INFORMATION REQUESTS.
