- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), �Mexican Fruitfly Rearing Facility, intends to use commercial and simplified acquisition procedures to �secure a single award 5 year IDIQ to supply� Citric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrogen Peroxide, to the Edinburgh Texas area in support of the agency�s �Mexican Fruitfly Rearing program.� These item will support the �implementation of sterile insect technique (SIT) release in support of our nation�s citrus crops. ��The activity will seek: Citric Acid 99% USP FCC Grade - The citric acid is used to balance the Ph of the fruit fly diet.�� The citric acid must be USP FCC, grade pure enough to use in making foods. Estimated Quantity: Citric Acid Deliveries of a minimum of 62,400 lbs and a maximum of 100,000 pounds of citric acid in 50 pound bags per year.� Each delivery of 5,250-lbs (105)-bags of 50lbs each. �Sodium Hypochlorite 6% - The sodium hypochlorite is used to clean/disinfect equipment. Estimated Quantity: Furnish and deliver a 55 gallon drum of 6% sodium hypochlorite every 6-7 weeks as requested. Hydrogen Peroxide 3% Estimated Quantity/Package: prefer 20 pounds containers on a monthly basis or 460 lbs drum shipped 4 times a year.
