Description
NAICS Code: 333517 - Machine Tool Manufacturing The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDC-AC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide: One (1) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Rifling machine, along with associated equipment, installation and training, to support the prototype manufacturing of large caliber cannon tubes. This machine would be capable of rifling alloy steel cannon tubes ranging from 105mm to 155mm in bore size and up to 15 meters in length. The machine controller would permit programming of all aspects of the rifling profile including but not limited to depth of sequential cuts, rate of twist (to include constant and progressive).� The machine shall be capable of utilizing either single point broaches or multi-tooth broaches and have sufficient machine and control safe guards to prevent loss of work piece in the event of a facility power loss. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the Technical Services. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.� In addition, please provide the firm�s name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, CAGE Code and DUNS number, and size of business (i.e. large, small, disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.).
