- Description
- The Veterans Administration Cleveland VA Medical Center, Research and Development Group intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with NanoString Technologies Inc. for a nCounter MAX Analysis System and a GeoMx DSP Analysis Instrument. These two pieces of equipment will be utilized together to continue to support research projects currently being conducted at the Cleveland VA. The GeoMx DSP system allows for spatially resolved imaging and quantitative expression of mRNA and pre-validated protein content specific to neuroscience (and other applications) from FFPE or fresh/frozen tissue with optional readout on a next generation sequencer for quantification. While the nCounter allows for bulk gene expression (dissociating tissue) without the need of amplification that allows for up to 800 genes (custom or neuroscience/ neuroinflammation specific panels) assayed per sample. The nCounter also acts as the readout for the DSP system. Additionally, the nCounter MAX Analysis System must be an FDA-approved technology. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office to the contracting office no later than Friday, July 3, 2020, 4:00 PM EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted.
