Description

The Government requires one (1) each Automated Surface Grinder that meets the following minimum specifications: Physical Characteristics Work Area � General Requirements Table size (working area) � 10� Wide (or greater) X 20� Long (or greater). 3-Axis automatic feed table. Hydraulically operated linear table movement, with reversal of direction. Downfeed accuracy to 0.0005� increments or smaller. Automatic �way� oiling system. � Power & Speed Main Drive Motor (Table Power/X-Axis) � 1HP or greater Cross-feed Motor (Width/Y-Axis) � 0.05HP or greater Elevation Drive Motor (Height/Z-Axis) � 0.1HP or greater Spindle Speed � 1700 rpm or greater Spindle Power � 2.0 HP or greater Machine Footprint Width �(X) � Between 75� and 110� Depth (Y) � Between 52� and 76� Height (Z) � Between 60� and 86� Weight � Maximum of 5,000 lbs. Additional Features or Required Characteristics Magnetic Chuck � Variable magnetism preferred but not required. Coolant System � 10 gallon capacity minimum. Grinding Wheel Diameter � 8� or larger.
