- Description
- This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), Laboratory Preparedness And Response Branch (LPRB). LPRB has a requirement for one hundred (100) Warrior Panel Verification Kits. The Warrior Panels are in vitro diagnostic device for presumptive diagnosis of Ebola, Marburg, QFever, Tularemia, Plague, and Anthrax. The technology to detect these biothreat agents are proprietary to the Department of Defense. Because the panels to be made are proprietary to the Department of Defense, no other manufacturer can produce the custom Warrior panel verification panels. The intended recipient of this purchase order is Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc (MMQCI), doing business in Saco, Maine 04072. This order is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice and/or submitting proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses; however, all proposals received within 7 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
