- Description
- Special Notice: TREX-19-FMT-CC Contract Number: W900KK-20-9-0002 On June 30, 2020, in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2371b, the Army Contracting Command Orlando has awarded a Follow-on Prototype Production Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) for the Family of Maintenance Traininers (FMT) Common Core (CC) Architecture and Software Baseline Prototype Project to DiSTI, LLC located in Orlando, FL. This effort will utilize an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Delivery Orders (DOs) and is estimated to be $42.56M with an ordering period of 60 months. The FMT-CC prototype project was competitively awarded to DiSTI, LLC via agreement number W900KK-19-9-0011. DiSTI has successfully achieved all the technical objectives for the prototype effort and achieved successful protoype completion. During the FMT-CC OT prototype project, a common architecture and software baseline for a suite of Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Trainers (DTT) was required and established. Additionally, a common hardware infrastructure was developed for Instructor Stations, Student Stations, and the Training Management System. The common hardware and software will be used for all future DTT trainers. The goal of this follow-on effort is to expand the FMT Product Line (PL) for various DTTs associated with combat/tactical vehicles including but not limited to Stryker, Abrams, Bradley, Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), and Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF). As the DTT product line grows, it is expected that other new or existing DTT maintenance trainer platforms will also be converted to the FMT-CC product line. The integration of new Maintenance Training Systems (MTS) into a FMT-CC product line approach will streamline future training system integration efforts by utilizing a common hardware and software interface, reducing operational and sustainment costs, and improving readiness by increasing Warfighter throughput.
