Page 3 of 3 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT Fuld Institute Evidence Based Practice (EBP) Training 36C77620Q0133 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Nursing Services (ONS) requires two (2) virtual Helene Fuld Health Trust (Fuld) National Institute for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in Nursing and Healthcare Immersion Workshops to be provided by The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Nursing EBP faculty for up to 180 VA providers simultaneously from across the country per virtual training session on the development and implementation of EBP strategies and processes for nursing staff within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) intends to solicit OSU, 1590 N. High St., Suite 400, Columbus, OH 43201 for two (2) five-day Fuld Institute EPB Training Workshops. The VA, through ONS, works towards transforming healthcare delivery by incorporating EBP models across the VA. This transformation requires nursing personnel from all healthcare settings from across the country to be trained on executing this model of care. The contractor shall provide two 5-day EBP Training Workshops. The sessions will be conducted virtually from Ohio State University. The training will be live streamed to up to fifteen (15) VA Medical Centers, with up to twelve (12) VA employees attending at each Medical Center. The contractor shall also provide thirty-seven (37) Continuing Education Credit Hours upon completion of the program, per participant; Access to the electronic resources presented at the workshop; Participant access to the Ohio State University Library resources for one year; Lifetime access to monthly immersion reconnect webinars, EBP listserv membership, access to EBP resources; Collaborative formal evaluation of immersion outcomes; and Educating selected VA staff to provide follow-up workshops to increase sustainability of education The program content and materials for the five-day training shall include: Introduction to EBP Making the case for EBP Assessing your organizational culture Clinical Inquiry and PICOT questions Mentored EBP project work Understanding research methods Effective searching for evidence Search strategies and techniques Introduction to critical appraisal of evidence Critical appraisal; systematic review Critical appraisal; facilitated breakout sessions Evaluation and synthesis of evidence Managing your Bibliography Integrating evidence into decision making Understanding, measuring, and evaluating outcomes Communication styles (DiSC) The Mentor Track | The Leadership Track | Faculty Track: Sessions Creating a vision for EBP Dissemination of EBP projects Dreaming past the possible Putting it all together Presentation and awards ceremony Closing remarks This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). This training is specific to one contractor. This training is not available through any other business. The NAICS code for this procurement is 611430 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is $ 12.0 million. This notice of intent to is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirements may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Submittal Information: Contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements should submit a single spaced, 12-point font minimum, response to the information identified in the Sources Sought Notice.
