- Description
- The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price Request for Proposal (RFP) on or around 17 July 2020 for 1,000 Ampere Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) Relay Assemblies used on the M1 Series Tank. These relays are installed in the M1 Series Tank Prime Power Control (PPC) box, where they control the power source feeding various vehicle systems. We anticipate the solicitation will be issued for Full-and-Open Competition with no set-asides used. The applicable NAICS is 335314. This RFP will include NSNs 5895-01-524-7571 and 5895-01-524-7573, for the normally-open and normally-closed versions of the SPST relay. The Government anticipates award as an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with a five-year ordering period and line items for both relay types. An estimated initial order of 75 of NSN 5895-01-524-7571 and 39 of 5895-01-524-7573 will be deliverable by 27 January 2021. The estimated maximum order quantity over the five year period is 1,706 units for NSN 5895-01-524-7571 and 958 units for NSN 5895-01-524-7573. The attached drawings contain a qualified producer list, with the following articles already approved: Leach International P/N 7401-C-010 (Normally Open) Leach International P/N 7401-C-020 (Normally Closed) The Government will consider offers of products from other manufacturers, provided the manufacturer is able to demonstrate�the proposed�relays comply with all quality and performance tests contained in Military Specification SC-SA16902B and the relevant drawings attached to this announcement via the ""Source Approval Request"" (SAR) process.
