Description
The Starkville, Mississippi Forest Products Lab is in need of a CH4/CO2/H2O Trace Gas Analyzer for testing termite respiration in the laboratory and detection of termite produced gases in the environment (forest) to gain a better understanding of the effects of wood preservatives on termite respiration as well as contribution of termites to carbon and methane production in the ecosystem. Testing specifications for CH4 must be to the precision of 0.25 parts per billion (ppb) with a 5 second averaging at 2000ppb CH4 in dry air at Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP). The maximum CH4 drift must be of less than 1 ppb per 24-hour period. The response time for CH4 test must be less than 2 seconds from 0 to2 ppm. The CO2 testing specifications are of a measurement range of 1 to 10,000 parts per million (ppm) with precision (1?) of 1.5 ppm with 5 second averaging. The H2O testing range of 100 to 60,000 ppm with precision (1?) of 20 ppm with 5 second averaging. With a measurement of 1 sample per second, and operating temperature range from -25C to 45C. The unit must be Wi-Fi enabled web server allowing you to view the software from any web-enabled device, including from a phone, tablet or computer. Including a Light weight (11.4 kg including batteries), weather resistant case, and low power consumption (20W steady state) allow for portability and use in the field. Multiple power options must be available to accommodate use in the lab and field: hot swappable lithium ion batteries, AC Power Supply or user supplied DC power source. Please send all questions and quotes to Susan Davis, susan.a.davis@usda.gov
