Description
Provide a non-contact, video/optical-based extensometry system designed to perform high-resolution, non-contacting axial strain and displacement measurements. The system shall be suitable for testing high-modulus materials, high-elongation materials, thin or delicate specimens, or for strain-controlled testing. The system shall include the following features and/or minimum performance criteria Field of View of at least 125mm Capable of measuring at least 100% strain for an initial gauge length of 50mm Accuracy ? 0.5% of elongation values up to 6mm, and ? 30 m for any elongations over 6 mm Resolution ? 0.5 m Stand-alone system with no PC software interaction required Factory calibrated system that does not require calibration for each setup No post-processing of imaging data required Optics system that accounts for out-of-plane motion by using telecentricity Illumination system requiring no additional external lighting Laser alignment system for instrument alignment to specimen loading axis and calibrated working distance Mounting hardware for Instron electromechanical test frames that includes rotational and translational adjustment for alignment to specimen loading axis and translational adjustment to calibrated working distance Real-time output of engineering data scaled to high level (? 16 bit) analog output of +/- 10 VDC at rates ? 100 Hz Adapter to connect and read output into Instron electromechanical test frames Adapter to connect and read output into ADMET electromechanical test frames Adapter to read output into generic voltage analog input devices and custom configurations Continuous real-time output with no trigger required Instrument user interface to control imaging parameters, output data filtering, units of measure for engineering data output, and output scaling parameters Real-time live display reading of engineering data If specimen markings are required, then a specimen marking kit with templates ranging from 10 to 50mm must be included Destination Shipping Please send any questions or quotes to Susan Davis, susan.a.davis@usda.gov
