Description
� THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. This contract action is for the acquisition of Services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b). The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to The Brigham & Women�s Hospital INC., 75 Francis St. Boston, MA, 02115-6110, for the acquisition of an Air Pollution and Female Cancers a pooled cohort study. Item No.������������� Description���������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Qty. ����������� Research on residential pollution and ��������������������������������������1 ea. ������������breast and ovarian cancers.��������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� ������������������� The anticipated period of performance will be for a twelve (12) month base period with a starting date on 7/15/2020 � 7/14/2021. Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School will provide a dataset to NIEHS. NIEHS will pool this data with other large datasets and conduct an analysis on the relationship between air pollution and breast and ovarian cancers. Services supporting data, data management, computing and administrative fees for research on residential pollution and breast and ovarian cancers. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541715 ""Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) and a size standard in the number of 1,000 employees. NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with The Brigham and Women�s Hospital Inc., and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must express their interest and must be submitted in writing via email to shields3@niehs.nih.gov within five (5) days after the date of publication of this notice. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received within five (5) days, an award will be made to The Brigham and Women�s Hospital Inc.
