Description
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. The Library is adding approximately 5,000 square feet on the second floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building. The Library anticipates moving the newly designed Kislak exhibition into the additionally identified space. The Library of Congress, intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract to Pure and Applied to revise the original visitor experience master plan to accommodate these additional spaces and collection items while maintaining the storytelling and design approach previously delivered and which the Library has begun to implement. The same contractor that completed the initial master plan must modify the plan, because the goal was to achieve a consistent and unified approach to telling the Librarys institutional story and the stories of specific collections or items. The Library will compete the subsequent fabrication and audiovisual contracts required for implementation of the design. This is not a request for quotes or proposals. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. Responses to this notice should demonstrate evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission of the Library of Congress. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. Question or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed to Moji Adejuwon, Contracting Officer, at moad@loc.gov and copy Ramon Samuel at rsamuel@loc.gov. Please indicated in the subject of your e-mail: Notice of Intent VEMP Kislak.
