- Description
- DESCRIPTION: The National Institutes of Health NIAAA intends to procure the services of a contractor to provide a motorized stereotaxic system: Automatic control system for in vivo stereotaxic injection of viral vectors into mouse brain for on-going animal model experiments in the laboratory. The unit comes with a Drill & Nanoinjection Robot including Drill Autostop Function and related components and software. This proposed procurement is for an equipment for which the government intends to negotiate with one source, NeuroStar located in Tubingen, Germany. This company, Neurostar, pioneered robot stereotaxy for brain research. They are the inventor and only manufacturer of this type of equipment. The benefits of the Robot Stereotaxic are the high precision and repeatability of the probe positioning, individual speed options and many more. Atlas integration, intuitive computer control of the stereotaxic frame and alignment correction ensure that all the procedures are precise and efficient. With this system, researchers can minimize some human errors, increase the efficiency and accuracy, reduce the amount of time for learning and operation, which will make the procedures in a high throughput manner. In order to comply with the requirements in this Special Notice, the responses should be based on our interpretation of the general requirements provided. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations.
