- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Elsevier, Inc., for the acquisition of Services. The purpose of this acquisition is to publish two supplements in the peer-reviewed Vaccine journal. The first supplement will be on lessons learned on cVDPV outbreaks towards polio cessation in the post-switch era. The contractor would compile scientific manuscripts covering the science and logistics associated with responding to cVDPV outbreaks while presenting regional and national perspective. The objective of the second supplement is to demonstrate key programmatic successes and challenges with HPV vaccine introduction in the early LMICs introducing HPV vaccine into their routine immunization programs. This supplement aims to showcase critical drivers for national introduction, key programmatic decisions, feasibility, and costs of HPV vaccine introduction at national scale. Papers will synthesize learnings from the early introducers to help provide lessons learned and potential models for subsequent countries planning HPV vaccine introduction. This will be the first comprehensive resource for countries, partners, and donors on programmatic learnings for national HPV vaccine introduction and implementation. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submission of their Capability Statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses should be emailed to contract specialist at oga5@cdc.gov by 12:00 p.m. EST on July 20, 2020.
