Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,National Center for Environmental Health intends to award abrand name firm-fixed price contract fora total of 68 x HALO BioClass 160 A, peptide ES-C18, 2.7 um, 4.6x5mm, Guard Column 3/pk, item # 92124102. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541990 All Other Professional Scientific and Technical Services, size standard $16,500,000.00 This acquisition is needed because Mac-Mod guard columns have been characterized and optimized on six Perfinity systems for high throughput of lipid samples in our Apolipoprotein quantitation method. The Mac-Mod columns are specifically designed to work on-line with our analytical column to provide a rapid and a continuous sample analysis. The Mac-Mod guard columns are optimized and validated to work with our online trypsin columns and analytical columns in our Perfinity systems to provide a highly efficient digestion while providing higher peptide recovery. Other products cannot provide the integrated and continuous sample analysis and throughput that our lipids method requires to accomplish our organized workflow of sample analysis. The Mac-Mod guard columns assist in sample clean-up, pre-concentration, desalting and detergent removal; while at 50 C and while functioning optimally during analytical analysis of an average of 2000 injections per week. To assure the continuity of our lipids program and to continue with our sample analysis and throughput, it is essential to acquire the same Mac-Mod guard columns. The Mac-Mode guard columns are the only columns we can and mustcontinue using in our clinical studies to accomplish our projects objectives and to fulfill CDCs mission. The use of a different guard column will invalidate our analyses and it will completely halt the project since a new method validation will be required. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses should be emailed to Mr. Philip Robinson at KKQ4@CDC.GOV using solicitation number 75D301-20-Q-72188 in the subject line no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, July 24, 2020.
