This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. Background Information and Objective: This purchase is to continue our work recording and analyzing the simultaneous activities of neurons during higher brain function. Without these arrays, the Laboratory of Brain and Cognition, SNC would be unable to advance its research initiative to study perception, learning, and memory of visual information. Project requirements: Multi-contact deep brain electrode (V-probe and S-probe) Purchase Description: See Purchase Description Quantity: (3) V-Probes and (3) S-Probes Delivery Date: No later than 60 days after award Period of Performance: The total period of performance will not exceed two months. � Warranty: The probes shall be covered under warranty. Option(s): None. � Capability statement /information sought. �Respondents must provide clear and convincing documentation of their capability of providing the product and services specified in this notice including providing information regarding being an authorized provider of the services. Responses must demonstrate the ability to deliver the following within 30 days of award. Purchase Description: ?�� �V-Probe, 64-channel ?�� �S-Probe, , 64-channel Salient Characteristics: ?�� �V-Probe� ��� �Multi-contact deep brain electrode ��� �Each shaft must provide 64 contacts (channels) separated by 100 �m. ��� �Each electrode contact must be a disk with 15 �m diameter.� ��� �Each array must use a 2x32m-V Omnetics 36-pin connector equivalent.� ��� �Each array must end in a conical tip 300 �m from most distal contact ��� �Each array must be 130 mm in total probe length. ��� �Each array must be supported by 15 mm of 640 �m diameter stainless tubing. ��� �Proven effective in nonhuman primates ?�� �S-Probe ��� �Multi-contact deep brain electrode ��� �Each shaft must provide 64 contacts (channels) separated by 100 �m. ��� �Each electrode contact must be a disk with 15 �m diameter.� ��� �Each array must use a 2x32m-V Omnetics 36-pin connector equivalent.� ��� �Each array must end in a conical tip 750 �m from the most distal contact. ��� �Each array must be 130 mm in total probe length. ��� �Each array must be supported by 15 mm of 640 �m diameter stainless tubing. ��� �Proven effective in nonhuman primates The respondent must also provide their DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc., pursuant to the applicable NAICS code and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements. One (1) copy of the response is required and must be in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using 11-point or 12-point font, 8-1/2� x 11� paper size, with 1� top, bottom, left and right margins, and with single or double spacing. The information submitted must be in an outline format that addresses each of the elements of the project requirement and in the capability statement /information sought paragraphs stated herein. � The response must include the respondents� technical and administrative points of contact, including names, titles, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses. All responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist. �Facsimile responses are NOT accepted. The response must be submitted to Michelle Cecilia, at the following e-mail addresses michellececilia.cecilia@nih.gov and Valerie.Whipple@nih.gov. � The response must be received on or before July 28, 2020, 5:00 pm, Eastern Time.
