Description
Request for Information (RFI) WAN Infrastructure Readiness Program (IRP) for FY20/22 WAN Routers and Installation Services Office of Information & Technology Information & Technology Operations and Services Department of Veterans Affairs This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bid, Request for Task Execution Plan, Request for Quotation, or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the VA in developing its acquisition strategy. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. See attached DRAFT Product Description. Requirements: Information Technology Operations and Service operates and maintains Wide Area Networks (WANs) at all Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities. The VA Project Team has identified 141 VA facilities and associated remote sites operating with WAN routers that require refresh hardware to meet VA WAN System Baseline requirements. Refresh includes replacement of existing routers and ancillary components of equipment at VA sites and associated remote offices throughout the country. This delivery order (DO) is for delivering WAN routers for VA s network infrastructure with an optional task for installation, which VA Project Team will execute as needed. This DO does not include maintenance for the routers, since VA has an umbrella Cisco Enterprise Support Agreement (CBCESA) that covers all WAN router network, telephony, unified communications and unified server hardware and software. VA will not pay for 16G of flash in the routers. Submittal Information: It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort note their interest and provide indication of their respective capabilities to provide a solution that meets the requirements described above. Marketing material will not be accepted as an indication of capability. Only responses related to the Government s requirements as listed above will be considered. The preliminary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) assigned to this requirement is 541519 with a size standard of $27.5 million. Specifically, for SDVOSB/VOSB firms, indicate whether at least 50% of the cost of performance incurred is planned to be expended for employees of your concern or employees of other eligible SDVOSB/VOSB firms. All responsible sources may submit a response in accordance with the following: Proprietary information, if any, should be kept to minimum and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. Responses shall not exceed 15 pages (excluding transmittal page) *Please Note: VA may elect to contact individual companies based upon the content of their RFI submission. VA may engage these companies to gather further information through email correspondence, telephone calls, virtual or physically located meetings, or other means.
