Description

This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Fixed Price Purchase Order to Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc. 7102 Riverwood Drive Columbia, MD 21046 on a sole source basis to procure OEM preventive maintenance for Shimadzu Instruments in the Pharmacy Department.� The fixed price Purchase Order will be for a base and four (4) twelve month option periods with option periods.� The NIH Clinical Center currently has 4 sets of HPLC instruments manufactured by Shimadzu that need to have their annual preventative maintenance (PM) to meet cGMP standards. These pieces of equipment should be qualified and maintained in good condition by certified technicians. This preventative maintenance also covers any repairs or problems with the instruments for the life of the contract.. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12 in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements in FAR Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Lisa Schaupp, Contract Specialist, Lisa.Schaupp@nih.gov, by the due date and time marked in this notice.
