Description
The scope of work is to install the mast for the system antennae to be installed on, and the necessary power, communications connections, and lightning protection ground Building 7309 - Elmendorf: 1. Install a 2-inch Schedule 80 Galvanized pipe to serve as an antennae mast at the peak of the North side of the building 7309. The antennae mast will extend above the roofline eight feet. Top of antennae mast will have a galvanized cap installed. The length of mast extending below the roofline will be of sufficient length to provide appropriate attachment to the building structural steel, and withstand the winds experienced in this geographic locality. 2. Supply and install a lightning protection grounding point and conductor. Route conductor to the base of the mast and leave in a condition that allows the antennae installer to connect the necessary air terminal and associated grounding connection to the Contractor supplied ground conductor. Comply with UFC 3-375-01 Lightning and Static Electricity Protection Systems. 3. Provide or construct a cabinet to house the head end equipment for the Ninja System. This cabinet will be located at the catwalk level of the hangar bay, on the north end wall. Install the cabinet in a manner that allows easy access for the installation of the equipment and any future maintenance. Equipment dimensions are 24� x 24� x 18� 4. Supply and install two new dedicated 20-amp power circuits to the same location as the equipment cabinet. Each circuit will have a single duplex outlet, for four possible plug in points for the equipment. Provide two new 20-amp breakers in panel. Route new wire in electrical metal tube (EMT) conduit from existing panel to equipment cabinet. 5. Provide material and install one 6-strand single-mode fiber optic cable in protected conduit from the west side communications room of hanger 5 to the Ninja equipment cabinet location. Fiber is to be terminated into rack mounted small form factor 6 port LC patch panel in the communications room and a wall mounted small form factor 6 port LC patch panel at the ninja box location. 6. Provide and install a 3-inch diameter weatherproof wall penetration sleeve for the cable connections between the head end equipment and the antennae mast. Building 47432 � Fort Richardson: 1. Install a 2-inch Schedule 80 Galvanized pipe to serve as an antennae mast on top of the existing tower on the south side of building 47432. The antennae mast will extend above the tower eight feet. Top of antennae mast will have a galvanized cap installed. The length of mast extending below the top of the tower will be of sufficient length to provide appropriate attachment to the tower, and withstand the winds experienced in this geographic locality. 2. Supply and install a lightning protection grounding point and conductor. Route conductor to the base of the mast and leave in a condition that allows the antennae installer to connect the necessary air terminal and associated grounding connection to the Contractor supplied ground conductor. Comply with UFC 3-375-01 Lightning and Static Electricity Protection Systems. 3.
